Is Discord a Security risk

How secure is Discord ? Does it leak our data to other countires ? Are these accusations unfounded due to plain paranoia ? Or is there truth to the heart of the matter ?

I have been getting annoyed and lately downright scared of all the paranoia focused against discord, I admit freely, for three years I refused to use discord because it had a voice chat system. But then I gre iinto using it in 2018. Its not bad, and for me its very secure.

But how can I be sure my data is doing exactly what discord says they're doing with it ? How secure is my data ?
