Unlock GIF Autoplays from system settings
Hello all, appreciate iterating on the recent (not popular) changes and I think the new reduced motion settings are a step in the right direction, however: As they are now they are a little too restricting, I understand maybe giving the user the option to toggle everything might be too difficult (although obviously the most preferable scenario) but having gifs autoplays locked behind the rest of the visual tweaks makes the gifs themselves redundant. I'm fine with the option to have them off, heck even search my computer settings for animations and default it to off if you want, but you need to allow me the option to turn them back on and now lock me out because I don't want my start bar to go crazy whenever I want to open it.
Gifs have a specific visual identity and whilst steps towards accessibility have and need to be made, reducing their functionality to near uselessness without allowing users to choose not to do so makes for a worse user experience. Allow users to toggle autoplay gifs on or off either independent of the reduce motion option at all or at least within the option itself. Thankyou, I love my gifs, and the real time reaction element just doesn't exist as it is now and that is disappointing.
Thankyou for your time reading through this if you did.
PS. Wasn't sure what area to put this in so apologies if there is a more optimal location for this complaint to be received.
