'Favorites' feature - What about making my own 'meta server' in the list - a single consolidated virtual server composed of all my favorite channels
This feature request attempts to solve the following customer use case / recurring problem with discord:
* I know which few channels over multiple discord servers i always check frequently
* Each discord server also has a whole bunch of many other content or topic specific channels which i have absolutely no interest in whatsoever (or very little)
* I frequently have to click / switch between multple servers to check and read each of my favorite channels
* It's completely unnecessary from any sane or reasonable technical standpoint in the year 2020 (yes... it is the 21st century nowadays)
Suggestion:
* Create 1 'Meta server' or 'Favorites' Virtual Server
* Place it at the top of the servers list. Next to the existing Private messages one
* Create a context right click action to 'Favorite' specific individual channels. Within and across any of my discord servers.
* The favorited channel then appears within the 'Favorites' virtual server. Or whatever you decide to call it.
* The channel can also be removed (un-favorited) in a similar fashion.
* This solves 99% of my remaining Discord problems
* This is probably the first and the last feature request you will ever hear from me.
* This feature will similarly save many thousands of man hours over the lifetime of this product from many millions of other regular Discord users. Perhaps all of them.
* A more sophisticated version of this feature would enable the creation of custom sub lists. Within the single favorites server. Or multiple such virtual 'Favorites' servers. Each with their own server icon. The idea is similar to having multiple amazon wish lists. Or multiple ebay wish lists. Or multiple playlists. Each of which you can rename. And reorganize (drag) the order of the list of items (channels).
OK I think I have said enough at this point. My feature request is now complete... you will probably never hear from me again. So please give this feature request it's due scrutiny and time. Thank you.

Kind of reminds me of irc.
I might be on ten different servers but only join ten different channels. I really don't care about most, and I really want them in the same place.

Not a duplicate. That feature is just asking to be able to favorite channels. It doesn't explain how these are surfaced, but the obvious answer is to show them at the top of the channel list (like Slack does). But this feature here is asking for a specific UI that aggregates favorited channels across multiple servers.

This really needs to be done. It will make engaging in discussions in more than one server a lot less hassle.

I follow just 3 main discords but they are busy and have a massive number of channels. My sidebar just looks like a ‘sea of bold’ which makes it not practical to keep up with the dozen or so channels that I want to follow closely. Being able to group them so I can have the one folder to check for ‘bold’ would make it practical to stay engaged in the conversation areas I want to keep up with!
