DSLR CAMERA WEBCAM COMPATIBILITY

Discord currently does NOT display/support the DSLR camera view when for example using a Canon EOS 77D camera as a webcam with the Canon EOS webcam utility software. The software does works for example in Streamlabs OBS and skype but when you select the canon eos utillity in DISCORD it wont work (black video).

Update* - I tested it on skype and it works.

It does not work on the Discord App or Discord web App both with Hardware Acceleration mode on and off.

Still not working properly (28 Mar. 2021)

    I'm also having this problem with the 90D. I hear the mirror flip up, then back down again when discord tries to connect. It was working in a previous build, and continues to work on other platforms.

    EOS Webcam Utility Beta doesn't even show up as option for me.

    I am using the Canon EOS Rebel T6, which does the same thing as ashwalker's where i hear the mirror flip up, and down again as it tries to work. i have it successfully working on streamlabs obs, but not with discord.

    Same, I'm using a T7 and it works on Zoom and OBS but not Discord. I have a class that's on Discord, please add compatibility for EOS!

    Same, canon eos 80d with Canon EOS Webcam Utility Beta, works on zoom and obs, not discord. It worked for me for a while on web-version of discord, but now they disabled webcam- and screen-sharing, for some reason...

    I updated to software to, EOS Webcam Utility 1.1 Windows and now it works for me using canon eos 80d and the native windows discord

    Huh. That's good! Note also that you can use OBS Virtual Cam within Discord when your camera is connected. This feature is also a convenient way to stream a custom layout to your video feed https://youtu.be/bfrknjDzukI

    After some new released firmware updates for my dslr camera and some new discord updates, it is finally possible to use my Canon EOS 77D like a webcame on Discord without any problems.

    So make sure you are on the latest firmware!
