[Feature Request] Ability to log into bot accounts?

Hiya!

 

One day, I thought of an idea. What if you could log into bot accounts, and be able to use them like normal accounts on Discord.

So, my idea to be able to log into bot accounts would be that instead of an email, you needed the full string/username of the bot (example: "Name#0000"), and instead of a password, you would need the bot's token.

Another way I thought of is you could set a specific password for bots on the developer page.

So, what would this mean for the login screen?

So, you'd have the basic log in of normal users (email, password), but then maybe below by where it says the new account stuff, it would say something along the line of "Logging into a bot account? Click here." From there, the screen would look different and it would ask for the bot's username, and then the bot's token or password that was set by the bot's developer/owner.

 

And when you are in the bot account, you could chat as the bot and use Discord normally, and the bot would even work normally.

 

This is just a small idea I came up with. Discord could change anything they want from my suggestion, but I feel something along the lines of this would be cool, and it would be something that would be interesting.

 

If they even wanted to, they could make it so that only accounts that are listed on the bot's development page (where you see/edit the bot's name, token, icon, etc.) could log into the account, as extra security.

 

Now, I'm no professional at making these things, but from what I know, I don't think it would be the most difficult.

 

Of course like I said, Discord can take this information and tweak it however they feel is a good idea.

    why would you do that? that's not the purpose of those accounts

    It would just be a fun thing for bot creators to be able to do.

    Okay, let's say you made a bot, which is has the administrator permission in various servers. You see where I am going?
    If I intend to harm a server, and they use my bot, I could easily do it.
