Mobile clients don't cache offline users

The mobile clients (Android and iOS) don't seem to cache guild members that are offline. This results in very unusable embeds from bots, containing either ugly <@!1234567890123456789> links that can't be clicked on (iOS), or `@invalid-user` links that can't be clicked on (Android).   What's a bit confusing is, the client obviously has enough of the user data cached to populate the member list I see by swiping left. Why isn't that information used to put accurate (nick)names in the chat?
