Shifting meeting sidebar as people leave and join meeting rooms

When there is activity where people are leaving and/or joining meeting rooms, the left meeting sidebar for the meeting rooms shifts vertically quite abruptly, leading to mis-clicks that make joining the correct room, or person's stream difficult.

Ideally, there would be a mechanism similar to modern browser tab management, where when the mouse pointer is currently hovering over the meeting sidebar, the vertical scroll of the meeting rooms is fixed to the mouse pointer's position.

For example, if you are hovered over a meeting room, and someone joins the meeting room above that one, the expected behaviour would be for the meeting sidebar to scroll down, such that the meeting room you were hovering over is in the exact same place it was before the other person joined the above meeting room.
