Just a shower thought I wanted to bring up...

Adding a permission to give specific individuals (administrators & moderators) to view original messages before they were edited with a similar button to the editing a message button.  
(I am aware that you can view edited messages in audit logs but this just seems quicker and helpful for moderation). 

Might be useful, might not. Give your thoughts!

  Yes - please create "Edit Messages" and "View Edited Messages" channel permission so that it can be assigned to moderator roles. The edited tag will prevent any abuse by malicious users because it will be traceable to the offending mod/admin.
