Suggestion: Call Confirmation Window
We've all been there- trying to look at someone's profile on mobile with clumsy fingers, attempting to click on the pins button in a dm, or just plain misclicking with the mouse.
There's really nothing like the panic when you accidentally call someone on Discord- most of the people I accidentally do it to I don't even know. I've accidentally video called someone from a different country who I had almost never talked with. The buttons are so accessable for accidental clicking- and, to make matters worse, there's really no safeguard for if you do.
In my opinion, implimenting a confirm call window is a necessity! It would make traversing Discord feel safer- you'd know that the app (or site) will ask you if you're sure you want to call someone, instead of just chucking you in a call with no warning whatsoever. ESPECIALLY a video call- the fact that even that has no message to confirm is scary to me. What if I accidentally hit the button and show a stranger my face? I really, really don't want that to happen.
The window doesn't even have to be anything fancy- just a yes or a no. And if you don't want to impliment this, then just take an option for people to toggle into consideration. Please!
Discord is a blissfully safe place compared to the rest of the Internet, but that doesn't mean it couldn't use some better safeguards. This could save a lot of teenagers (and adults) the risks that come with this sort of stuff.
I've seen so many posts about this but they've all been buried!! I'd really appreciate if whoever is transferring ideas over could at least suggest this. This is a really important issue to me!
