Please discord, don't force bots to migrate to slash commands!

Please read this guys article as well as mine, it explains the problems with the slash command migration much more technically than I did.

I'm making this post because I really want to get attention to this subject! It's been extremely frustrating for me as a newbie bot developer because I don't really understand slash commands, and frankly, don't like them.

However, I do understand that a lot of people probably do enjoy the convenience of slash commands, which is why I don't want Discord to remove slash commands at all. I just don't want bots to be FORCED to use them. I am extremely upset with Discord for making this decision, and now the API Wrapper I use, discord.py for Python, has shut down because of it. Just why?

I'm a strong believer in the saying, "Don't fix something if it ain't broken". And look at what happened, Discord, you tried to "fix" the bot system, and now all it's doing is causing chaos for programmers like me who don't understand Slash commands, and rely on the now-shut down Discord.py library to make the bots. I really don't want to go to another programming language that I'm not comfortable with.

So, if any Discord employees read this, please, PLEASE don't ignore this! And check out the other article too, he explained things even more technical than I did!
