Streaming on Discord as a Twitch competitor

You're likely aware of the tumult Twitch has faced recently leaving many streamers disgruntled, myself included.

In an attempt to move away, I'm setting up a dedicated streaming server where I can share my content, however, I understand there is a temporary limit of 50 attendants with a view to move back to the original 10.

This got me thinking - A Discord competitor to Twitch may well be an interesting move. My community is already there, the bots are already there (I have donation bots set up), the tools are already there... The only trouble is that the functionality is ALMOST there.

The server I have created works almost identically to Twitch with the added bonus of an in-house community and all the interaction I could ever need. It's customisable to the core!

Just throwing this out... Perhaps Discord could consider special 'Streaming' channels that Server Admins can create, where one broadcaster may stream and a potentially unlimited number of people can view. It's not a huge change, but could really put Discord on the map as a valid Twitch competitor.

Hopefully this is a positive idea that many can get behind :)
