Gif search is *abysmal*

I'm in a few niche fandoms, and i was trying to find gifs for one of them, and i know there are gifs for it-- i even have some favorited!-- but i can't find any when searching. Not only that, but the way keywords are detected is weird. If, hypothetically speaking, the phrase "Super Mario" didn't have any results, it would yield results for "Super" and "Mario" as separate terms. Which means it would get a LOT of irrelevant results. Apparently no one else has actually complained about this because every other result i've seen when googling my issue has been for other issues with the gif search (some of which are still problems and have been ever since the feature was implemented in the first place, which is irritating). Anyway is there any better way to search for the gifs i want because this is ridiculous.
