New Update - everyone hates it

The new update is janky, gross and stiff. I originally experienced this update on the beta tester version of Discord for Android and I hated it so much that I reverted back to the non-beta version just to be rid of that hideous mess. It's now a public update, I still hate it, its still broken. please for the love of god revert it. Don't fix what isn't broken. This update is hideous. Everybody hates it, listen to your userbase and revert this.

    It looks like this because they're switching the whole thing to one code base but that's still a garbage choice. The old one was actually optimized for Android. This one is trash, and dlthe decision they made is a bad excuse.

    I've heard rumors that this was to save money, but if the code already existed, how does this save them money? If anything they will lose money! People will quit using Nitro in even bigger droves.

    It just updated on mobile for me, so I don't know how wonky it works.  BUT It's hideous!  I hate everything new about how it looks!!!

    WonderBurrito it saves them money because they don't need to update the code anymore. So they can fire the dev team that maintained the android version, and have the ios team handle everything and just hope that the porting measure works and doesn't break everything. So they get to shrink their team by half and reap the same benefits with minimal effort.

    I have no idea how that unoptimized React Native garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!

    The performance of the app went from good to unusable, it's not acceptable.
    Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped; this app is now TRASH.

    I used this tutorial on how to revert back to the old native android style app, and I'm sticking to it!
