Hey ADAMJR, I think this would be a good idea, but until this feature becomes implemented, I recommend inviting a bot to your server that limits ping usage.

Click on the person you want to add the nickname to and you can add it under the "Note" section. This idea has already been implemented.

This defeats the purpose of being "invisible."

You can always turn this off if you go to User Settings > Game Activity > Switch off the "Display the currently running game as a status message."
