PLS Do not remove the numerical discriminators
The numerical discriminators make it much easier to come up with usernames for oneself. I don't want to come up with silly numbers and random letters or words to add to my username.

You are right, of course! They've apparently forgotten how the unique username system has been SO ANNOYING for every site that's used it in the past.
