Screen sharing desktop audio capture on Linux

Can we PLEASE have a fix for desktop audio capture in linux, the message displayed in the screen share dialogue says audio "might not work" but as far as I am aware it does not work out of the box on ANY linux distro, and any way to get it working is usually an audio redirect to discords microphone input which is pretty hacky - so it might as well say it is "not available"

This is a fairly key feature of screen sharing in my opinion and the fact that it has been basically non-existant for so long is rather unfortunate. I will be looking into alternatives to Discord because of this, as this issue has been a problem for me for much too long now.
