UI Customization
Every time there is a new UI update, the same thing happens. Most of us dislike most of the changes. We adapt because we have to. Then, within a year or two, it all happens all over again. As it is, I am still dealing with disruptive "features" from the last major update, e.g. the message highlight on mouse-over, which I had to resort to using reduced motion to get rid of. With this update, new mention/tag style causes my eyes to unfocus. The new reaction background boxes and the outlines clutter the screen and distract from the text, and I have normal vision.
Here's the deal: not everyone has the same eyes, and different monitors can make a huge difference in how a color palette works. You will never be able to find a UI solution that works for everyone. As someone who uses Discord every day, I would like for it to not change in ways that impact my useability at the whim of your UI designers.
There is only one workable solution: let us, the users, customize our experience. At the very least you could let us change color palette locally or per-account. But, given that Discord is done through Electron, you could let us customize everything we see client-side. I wouldn't even mind if such customization is a nitro feature.
As it stands, the constant reworking of the UI is not a good sign. This was one of the reasons I switched from Skype to Discord back in 2015, because Discord appeared to be a well built, stable platform. Please consider true innovation, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

Putting this as a comment because I didn't want to marr the suggestion. As it stands for me, these changes are disruptive enough that I am going to cancel my Nitro Classic subscription immediately. I have been a Nitro subscriber since September of 2017. I want to support this platform, but if it continues to become less usable without any apparent logic or reason while ignoring proper solutions to the problems faced by such a diverse user base, then I see no reason to support it.
