Role Hierarchy problems

My friends and I's server is set up like a royal hierarchy. So it is more of a triangle rather then a totem pole hierarchy. Our server is relatively small there are only 20 members. However we plan on expanding. Our number one issue is how the roles hierarchy is set up currently.
