emotes with /me overlap recent chat

(Not 100% sure this belongs here, so please move as appropriate.)

When emoting in discord with /me, the instructions ( /me message) pop up over the last few lines of chat.   While this mighty appear to be helpful,  I generally find that what I'm emoting in response to is actually in those few lines of chat that are now covered up, and I frequently find myself typing /me and then backspacing over it so I can reread the chat and then typing /me again.   Would be nice if the directions could appear below the line of typing, be somewhat transparent, or perhaps go away completely once we start typing the message itself.

As a workaround I've been typing _ as a prefix and suffix to get the same effect without covering up the chat.   But since other platforms use /me, that's kind of a habit that's hard to break.
