no photo id

hello discord replied to my age update request after 5 days and all they said was i messed something up when i sent it i sent them a photo of me holding up papper with my discord user on it and my birth certificate i dont have a photo id and im not sure what to do discord support is insanely slow and i just want my account back can i get it back or do i really need a photo id to get my account back?
