this new mobile UI layout update is dookie #bringbackdiscord
Okay starting off, I understand that it might've felt like it was a “squished smaller version of PC” but this new UI was highly unnecessary.
Firstly, imma just say it it's ugly, like REEEALLLY ugly it's making discord feel like all the other apps out there, discord was unique now it just feels like Instagram 😕 it's like all of its personality is gone, most of us use discord because it's different from other messaging media apps.
Secondly there was no point in adding a whole new page for the settings, not only is it really inconvenient not having it below our profiles anymore, and the icon is really small.
THIRD OF ALL, I do get that some people like this update (y'all are crazy btw) but most of us don't, we should have the option back of chosing to have this new UI on or not. There's a bunch more that I could talk about like the new member page and the new swipe reply, both unneeded and unnecessary, and gross… These PC users are so lucky, but y'all are probably next... Also if people wanted it to be like PC so bad they could use their computer or use the website on the search engines.
There was really no need for this new UI at all, it lacks a bunch of factors that old discord had...., “No need to fix something that isn't broken” am I right?

The only issue with googling it to login on your phone is that it only wants you to download the app and doesn’t want you using it on the browser but still old discord was way better and it’s upsetting they changed it

I have gone to using the web browser version on mobile because it is more useable than the app because of this
