UI is nausea inducing

No really, the visual noise is that awful, I felt like I was going to throw up. I spent two hours trying to install an earlier version of Discord just to be able to physically use it.

All “themes” have really awful distinctions between colours, my eyes strain just to look at them, the menu from below has way more inconsistent visuals, even the “New Posts” element is the same way. Everything is painful just to try and perceive. Not only that, there are more animations which only compounds the problem. I'm busy trying to see the damn app and then suddenly the whole thing is moving again. It's like a concerted unified effort to teach me what vertigo is.

The menus are more difficult to navigate, I learned that when the UI first showed up, though it wasn't this painful. Everyone already knows that. Previously, everything was at your fingertips. Now it's a mess of menus.

Literally everything is worse in such an objective way that I cannot understand the motives behind creating it. It can't be accessibility because I can't even physically do anything without wretching. The only thing I can think of is that this works more like Whatsapp? But Whatsapp is already pretty bad. At least its UI is bearable to look at though.
