Discord Mobile UI - Notifications Tab and Message Tab
Here's the thing, I understand you need to update UI every now and then and I know it's a bit more accessible for people who need a more accessible app. However, there are features that are probably not necessary and they scream “Let me look like other apps”.
MESSAGES tab - I DO NOT have a use for the section in the Messages tab that tells me who is online and who isn't. I really don't care for it and it takes up space, please remove it entirely. I only need to interact with the people I DM most often and I already know their status since it's visible with their icon. If I was curious about other people's status, I'd just go search for them or see their status in a server.
NOTIFICATIONS tab - why? I don't need it. I am in way too many servers to really care about having to see all the notifications I've missed. It's cluttered. Realize that many of them are @everyone posts that I don't need to see. This is as useless to me as the Inbox icon in the desktop version.
TOO MANY STEPS TO GET TO DMs- okay let's say I have the app open. I am in the general chat in a server and I want to go to my current direct message that has a new message/notification. When I get a new notification for a direct message, the person's icon used to show up on top and I can directly go into that DM when I click their icon. Now I have to swipe right to see the message tab on the bottom of the screen, click it, and then click on the DM chat. That's only one more step but it makes such a big difference. Less steps is better User Experience and it is also less complex. This aggravates me cause I really don't think this is better accessibility.

You do realize that Discord is using you as their “play tester” right? They don't have testers themselves lol
