New UI is slow and inefficient

Hello!

The new mobile UI is very slow to load and takes the extra few seconds to load up old messages. This adds up when switching between conversations. It's rather annoying because 99% of the time I only want to see the newest message and then need to wait for the conversation to load and THEN also scroll down to see the new message. This is a bad change. Please fix. It's annoying to the point that my server members are talking about making a GroupMe instead of continuing with Discord. Thank you and have a great day.
