New UI update is unnecessary and awful

Many others have said it better than me and frankly I’m too tired and frustrated to make this message look better… but wtf Discord!? This new UI update for mobile is atrocious, disorganized, uncomfortable, and is one of the biggest nightmare updates I’ve seen Discord implement in recent years. No one asked for this. No one wanted this. MANY people are displeased with it to say the least, and some are infuriated with it. This new update has made the app harder and clunkier to use. Taking away the ability to “swipe” between servers, DMs, and information has been infuriating and annoying. Please for the love of god, revert back to the old UI! Or at the very very least, make it an option for people to turn off.

Please listen to your community. No one wanted this. We are very unhappy. Stop trying to fix things that were never broken. This has been a reoccurring theme with Discord updates for the past few years and it’s getting a bit ridiculous. I’ve managed to deal with past updates that were hard to adjust to or that frustrated me, but this is where I put my foot down. I have never written a review in the App Store nor have I made a post here, but this update has frustrated me to the point where I feel it crucial to say this. This UI change is atrocious and I am insanely tempted to cancel my nitro subscription at this point to make the devs listen. I may be one person, but a majority of the community is incredibly displeased with this BS of an update. So please, Discord devs, fix this. Revert back to how it was before, or at least make this UI an option to turn off for the large amount of us who dislike it.
