unable to hear any audio while discord streaming (like any)

i recently upgraded my gpu (2060 to 4070) and im now having issues when it comes to streaming on discord (never happened in the past 3 years) . when i hit go live i am unable to hear anything, in game, discord call, desktop unless i minimize/tab out of the tab in? which wouldnt make any sense bc im trying to stream a game that needs to be open lol. tried everything from settings, discord settings, to changing source, uninstalling, installing beta discord. nothing seems to help. and yes all my drivers and pc is up to date (windows 10)
