Relocation of direct messages button in iPhone Discord app
A recent update to the iPhone Discord app has moved the icon for direct messages from above the list of servers to a button at the bottom. I’m finding this far less convenient to switch between servers and direct messages. Previously I could I could quickly go back to direct messages and it would remember who I was talking to. Now to get out of a direct message I have to go back out of the current conversation and then switch to servers at the bottom. I can see what the thought was changing this but I don’t like it. More taps are involved and it doesn’t seem to flow as nicely as it did.

If you're currently inside a DM in the app, you can swipe from left to right (opposite of the new reply motion) once to get back to the DM overview and twice to get to the server list, no tapping needed.

One swipe gets me back to DM overview but two doesn’t seem to get me to the server list and I can’t swipe back again from server to DMs and it loses the contact I was talking to tapping back to DMs and have to select them again? I’ll experiment later but it seems clumsy.

Hmm. I'm on the experimental feature beta branch, so it could be that - however the feature isn't noted as an experimental one.
If I'm on the DM menu and swipe from left to right, on the left side of the screen I'll see a small pop-out with an arrow as if I'm flipping the pages of a book. Releasing will then take me to the server list, and it can be done in a smooth motion aswell.
I'd love for them to add a feature to access the latest DM quickly by doubletapping the Messages button. Afterall, it is at the bottom where your fingers rest, would make the whole thing smoother!
