Opened links don't follow devices settings (Android)
I have several types of links set up in a way that they open automatically with a specified app on my phone. For example, I have it set up, so that YouTube links always open in Firefox instead of the YouTube app. However, since the new UI update, any YouTube link I open from Discord opens in the YouTube app. All other apps on my phone open YouTube links with Firefox, but not Discord. Changing the “web browser” setting in the Discord app doesn't affect anything. A similar thing is happening with reddit links as well. All reddit links should open with the red reader app. But Discord opens them in Firefox.

+1. I also noticed this and it's very annoying. It seems link Discord now ignores the Open Links preferences and hardcodes it to launch the native app if it's installed, instead of respecting the system preferences.

I recently updated Discord after months and I regret it since I'm having this very issue.
The images aren't open into the browser anymore, for some reason they are loaded on my PDF reader instead. I reset the app permissions and preferences to no avail, and also tried reinstalling Discord and the PDF reader but it didn't work.
YouTube links also suffered from the same issue. I had to disable YouTube app to get the links opened on Firefox, but I don't want to delete my PDF reader just because Discord is being a jerk.
I hope this is a bug and not an intended feature.

I am also having this issue. Discord’s apparent HOSTILITY at the very idea that users have preferences for a reason baffles and amazes me.

This behavior is really starting to get on my nerves. I'm perplexed as to why Discord seems to be intentionally bypassing the default OS mechanisms for where to open links by default.
