Nitro Subscriber since 2018, canceled because of horrible new mobile UI

Title says it all, I've made a couple feedback posts in this forum. All on deaf ears of course. I've made COUNTLESS feedback reports on the mobile app itself, all on deaf ears of course. As they've yet to revert the mobile UI or even offer an option to revert. Numerous feature changes and appearance changes have mad the app worse and worse. With each update it just goes more and more south. Search feature is horrible, sharing media is more annoying than ever, navigating the app is more of a pain (especially if you have a physical or visual disability of any kind, the old swipe to navigate was perfect). It's been months of “oh just get used to it” and after months I am used to it. Which is why my usage of the mobile app has fallen dramatically, because I absolutely hate the new UI. All messages, unless urgent, wait until I'm home to the PC version to answer, because I refuse to use the app.

Only way they might listen is if it affects the bottom line. While I can't say for certain how it's been since the new UI came out, I won't be supporting this dev team financially until the mobile UI is reverted. If they've seen all the feedback and actually listened to it like they said they do, they would have reverted it or added a “legacy” layout option a while ago. Until the best app UI of all “social” apps comes back to us in the form of a UI revert, it'll be standard discord for me.

Yeah agree on all points. My friends and I are looking for an alternative to discord that we can use on our phones at least. We all work jobs where we have the opportunity to type in our group very frequently so there's always banter going on during workdays but that has since sort of just stopped. Probably due to the hassle of navigating the phone interface. It's not a matter of "gotta get used it" when it's objectively bad and hated by literally everyone.

I feel you on the deaf ears thing. I voiced mine too both on here and on reddit. They won't revert so it's up to us to make that change. Of apps. I absolutely hate it when startups claim to do everything for their userbase only to get large enough that they can disregard us entirely. Either give us a legacy option or you'll lose me and my group of friends. We're probably not alone.
