Moderator message editing
Sometimes a moderator will be in a situation where they want to make a change to a message and warn a user, but not fully remove it from the chat. A solution to this, would be moderator editing. This would allow moderators to edit a message sent by a user. When they edited the message, the message would receive a "(edited by moderator)" tag instead of the usual "(edited)" tag. The user would then use the ability to edit the message again, but would be able to delete it still. Any moderator edits would be put in the audit log with a before and after of the message.

DISCORD! Please create an "Edit Messages" channel permission so that it can be assigned to moderator roles.
4 years later and this kind of important moderation tool is still not present in a chat client used globally. Yet it has existed in forums for over 30 years!!
Users begin to complain about moderators and become hostile toward us because the act of deleting is seen as a personal attack, when all we needed to do was to low-key edit a word or two to keep it respectful or add spoiler tags.
