Discord Screenshare Error

Whenever I attempt to use the screenshare function, it completely breaks the discord app and causes RTC connectivity issues. I have tested it and tried out numerous fixes but absolutely nothing works. During tests I figured out how it works also. Firstly, when I start screensharing and someone joins they say that there is no audio or video and the screen is frozen. Then if I switch to the discord app it says "Application is Paused" and it does not unpause when I switch back to the application I'm screensharing.
After I close the screenshare the error glitches out my audio and does not allow me to speak or listen to anyone else in the call. Finally when I disconnect and reconnect to attempt to fix this issue, it permanently says "RTC Connecting" and does not allow me to enter the call. This problem is only fixed when I restart discord, but whenever I try to use screenshare again the error reoccurs. 

Does anyone else have/has had this issue or know how to fix it? Also this issue has persisted since 9/5, there has been multiple updates to my discord app since then but none have mended this issue.
