Feature Suggestion: Virtual Sound Stage

I've noticed that, in real life conversations, I don't have trouble parsing different speakers at the same time, but I do in voicecalls online. I believe this is because our ears can differentiate voices based on location within a room and relative volume compared to distance in said room. I would therefore like to suggest the possibility of a virtual soundstage. With this, users could either have a default placement around the listener or the listener could customize where in this virtual space they want speakers to come from.
