New update - opening app opens lists

The latest Android update to discord is freaking annoying... Every time I open the app it opens the people list or the channel list, never the actual channel contents, which is what I want to see. I hope they fix that quickly. I also find the UI generally clunky and suboptimized but the specific behavior is driving me absolutely bonkers
