Group DM Ideas

I tend to hang out with groups of people who prefer using group DMs instead of servers due to their overall simplicity.

I had several ideas that would mitigate issues we tend to complain about once in a while that we hope you could possibly take into consideration:

1.) As far as group ownership is concerned, I would like to suggest implementing the ability of a group owner to select admins capable of kicking members.

2.) I would suggest the prompting of the owner to select who inherits ownership in the event that they decide to leave the group, as an alternative to the current system where ownership is transferred at random. This could even also be available at any time, not just when the owner leaves the group.

3.) We would like to see an increase of the maximum member capacity to 15.

These are several suggestions that I have that I would like to potentially see implemented in group DMs in the future. Hopefully these ideas aren't too far-fetched.

    1. Disagree, there's no reason you can't make a private server to give yourself those roles. You want the features of a server without creating a server. 

    2. I believe the ownership is given to the second member, but in the case this isn't true, a button to assign a new owner would be nice.

    3. While I've seen servers like wallstreetbets have many, many multiples of 15 users, it's simply not fun nor within the infrastructure. I'm not a discord team member so I can't comment on discord's capabilities, but a group chat like that would put a lot more stress on the dev ops. If you really wanted that many people, just create a server. Give roles that enable them to join specific channels for different things.
