New Mobile UI is Disorienting
First:
Splitting the 'add file' plus sign into two separate buttons is unnecessary and cluttersome. But if we are going to have two buttons, then either they should always be visible, or they should stay collapsed behind their little arrow until I manually expand them. Having the whole text field jump to the side when I start typing -- and then jump back again mid-sentence -- is incredibly irritating.
Second:
Where side-menus such as member and channel lists used to slide over the message thread when one swiped in from either side of the screen, this action now causes the message thread to slide away and reveal the lists to be anchored underneath it. There are two problems with this.
1) Since the message thread is the focus of my attention, it was intuitive for that pane to stay anchored while sidebars -- which I only briefly and occasionally want to look at -- move over it. To have the message thread move instead is disorienting, and it looks terrible.
2) Attempting to return to the message thread causes it to slide too far and open the other side menu more often than not. This is aggravating. The change in layout is bad enough without the extra problem of it being hard to control.
This second change -- the one to thread and menu layout -- actually hit my phone a couple weeks ago. I have tried giving it time for me to get used to it. However, I am not getting used to it, and I really, truly despise it.
I would like to see these changes reverted, or an option implemented to let me revert to the old UI by choice.

Absolutely agree. Its an awful UI update.

I'm just liking UI posts at this point without reading them. I've come across one person who likes them, and I think I could tollerate it on a phone, but not a tablet.
