bitrate adjustment not working
We use a voice only channel, and some people have very poor internet, so we're trying to lower the bitrate. It seems to have no effect (ranging from 8-96 kbps). This seems supported by the results in Windows resource monitor, which reports that (using the discord app 0.0.306) the bitrate averages around 80 kbps (upstream). Also, I've tried both Chrome and Edge to see if it's different, and that bitrate stays around 40 kbps (upstream). I'm testing by just logging into the channel on my own and talking.
But in either case, neither the app nor the browser respond to the channel bitrate changes ranging from 8-96 kbps. Am I doing something wrong? (seems pretty straightforward...slider, save...) Thanks!

I too have that problem
(peak of 96, average of 80/90)

Ive been experimenting as well due to my nitro purchase (unlocked 128kb/s) and ive noticed the bitrate slider doesnt have samme effect as it used to. Changing slider to 8-12 kbps doesnt change the actual bitrate/quality. No difference at all. Changing the slider the other way produces same problem.
Ive tried both the normal and the standard and legacy subsystem. (Normally use Legacy so i though that was the issue).1 -
Same for me. I can change it from 8 to 96 and nothing changes.

Issue is still there. Any news from the developers ?

Gableb they made me perform the same bullshit that everyone tells you to do but problem still not resolved.
Apparently "the bitrate doesn't affect data usage", complete wrong statement0 -
UPDATE
Upload bitrate is now fixed, for the most part, download bitrate is not, it's still not controlled by the slider
