Separate preferences for badge and unread messages circle

I'd appreciate if I could get rid of the unread messages badge (the red circle with a dot in the dock / task bar) while still keeping the unread direct messages badge (the red circle in the task bar / dock with a number in it) and the unread messages semi-circle next to the server icon in the server list on the left.

I'd like to see if I was highlighted, but I don't care about unread messages somewhere on the many servers I'm on until I open the app and check for it. If I just disable the badge, I can't see DMs / highlights. If I mute every server, I'd have to check each server individually to see if there's news.
