Disconnected During Long Nighttime Calls on Android
Me and my partner usually call eachother while sleeping every night but I've started noticing recently that it disconnects us not even half way through the night after our phones are turned off, could you please make it so we automatically reconnect if it's our bad wifi connection, if it's just discord could you add the option of not kicking people off long calls even if they're on silent the whole time or their phone is off?

Yes please! This has also started happening recently to my super long distance partner and I. For over a year now, we've been sleeping in a call together and waking up to each other just fine (except for nights with poor internet connection) but lately, not a single call makes it through the night anymore. A quick internet search says that the call will disconnect if there is "inactivity," but this never used to be the case, so why change it now?
It has been really lonely waking up and seeing the call is gone. It's also pretty disheartening when the call dies even if one of us is still connected to the call on PC. Most of the time, my partner goes to bed first and connects on mobile while I'm still sitting at the computer, and thirty minutes after they fall asleep, the call disconnects even if I'm still here making some noise.
Even though this has been happening for a while now, I'm still not used to it. We still call every night hoping that *this time* it'll last throughout the night, but I'm starting to believe it probably won't change back to how it was. Lots of long distance couples who also sleep in call together have noticed and have been negatively affected by this as well. All we can hope is that this prompts the techs to do something about it.

Yeah this seems to be a new feature to discord as it never used to happen to us before,
I had the same feeling when I started waking up to my phone being disconnected to the call as well..
Hopefully they end up making an option to stay on the call always no matter if people are inactive or not,
I know a lot of other people who like to do sleep calls together as well so it'd be a nice feature for all the people who like doing that sort of thing :(9 -
Ive been planning to fall asleep with my partner on discord for a while now, but im worried this sort of thing will happen. I hope discord changes this :(

I found a loophole around this recently, just make a server! In server group calls Discord wont kick you no matter how long you're there.

For me, even when on a discord server call I’d still get kicked s m h

yeah it started happening about 3 months ago i dont get disconnected but she does. let me tell you how annoying this is... VERY! Discord FIX NOW

This has been happening to me more and more frequently. Every morning around 3am-3:50am the call disconnects me while I am sleeping in the call. My internet is fine, my connection is stable but it continues to disconnect me. Discord is our preferred way of communication/calls. :/ It's always my end appearing to hang up/disconnecting from the call.
Please fix.
