Allow bots/or specific users to DM even when 'Allow Direct Messages from Server Members' is off.

I often turn my 'Allow direct messages from server members' setting off to avoid dms like nitro scams and etc. This however is sometimes an issue when a bot or certain member needs to dm me.

I think the best solution to this issue is adding a way to 'whitelist' users to be able to bypass this setting.

When in the privacy settings you should be able to search a member or bot and select it to be able to DM you even when the setting is on. I think you should be also able to add a role/s that is allowed to DM you when this setting is on.

This would come in useful for when for example, you want to allow staff members the ability to dm you when this setting is on. You would go to the Privacy tab and select a staff role and then they would then be able to bypass it.

I was about to suggest something very similar to your suggestion until I came across it.

I would be very much in favor of it for game-related servers I'm in that have Developers, Administrators, Game Masters, and Moderators I'd like to contact regarding their game or specific users for trades offers while continuing to keep my DMs disabled for everyone else in that server who is not on my friend list.
