disappointed with possible web3/crypto integration

With all the accounts of crypto's harmful effect on the environment as well as the potential for scams and money laundering within the system, I am very disappointed to see discord expanding into this field for what seems to be no reason other than profit; while the short terms benefits may  seem worth it, I and many others I know will certainly be searching for another app for our servers and communities if it officially goes through, to say nothing ot any nitro subscriptions we have purchased; I will not be supporting crypto integration in any way, and my communities would also cancel their nitro subscriptions
