REALLY Need a "Back" button Feature

Hello,

First off, I want to say, Discord is AMAZING.

We are using it to supplement our learning environment at the Africa Digital Media Academy in Rwanda (we teach multimedia). We are a small school, I am responsible for a class of 20 students in 1 year intakes.

I use Discord to share curriculum, post video recordings of classes, have students submit assignments, share schedules, deliverables, etc.

It is AWESOME.

I'm not sure if your devs ever imagined a situation where this would be a use case, but I'm guessing you've heard of learning environments using Discord.

Anyway, I do find there is a VERY challenging aspect to using Discord, and that is the lack of some kind of "Back" button.

For example, often I am referencing another post, or another channel, and need to click on the link to check things. Or a student has posted a an internal link, to another post, etc.

I find myself spending a LOT of time, having to navigate back to the original post I was at before pressing the link.

If at all possible, if you would PLEASE consider adding a "Back" button. The way it could work (not sure if you could easily code this) would simply be that Discord tracks the post you were at when you last pressed an internal link. At any time, if you press the "Back" button, it takes you "Back" to that post you were at when you pressed the link.

This would save me so much time, personally, as I find I am regularly clinking on Links to go to student posts, or announcements, etc. and I regularly have to navigate back to the original post after pressing the link.

I'd estimate this feature would save me possibly 10-30 minutes, or more, every day.

Not sure if it's possible with your current code, I know coding is complicated and often something simple is actually quite complex, but anyway, I hope it is something you would consider.

    Totally agree we need a Back button

    So much time can be wasted trying to remember where a previous post / dm was just seconds ago. 

    In the high speed gaming world one is often half way through reading / processing a post and has to quickly skip to another new urgent dm etc.  Then it's soooo hard to quickly get back to the first unfinished post / dm, especially when being chased in real time by the Mongol hordes (with very sharp scimitars).

    Hmmm nothing has happened on this for over a year. I guess Discord staff just don't get the need?

    Please add this. Slack has it and it would be so helpful to find my way back when I'm clicking around between channels, especially on servers with lots of channels.
