[FEATURE SUGGESTION] Adding a little note to friend requests.
So I've been thinking about this for a really long time now and I think it would be really an insane feature to implement to Discord.
Why can't we - when sending a friend request to other people - write a short note into the request on *why* we want to be friended with that person.
Discord's standard message could be something like "Hey! Let's be friends on Discord!"
But I think everyone should have the right to write a little note to it as well.
Why do I think that this is a good idea?
Nowadays there are quite some people who have their DMs closed - especially popular people like the owner or the Admins of large servers. I myself am an Admin of Alan Walkers server (62K members) and whenever we do giveaways or events people always send friend request (often times randomly). It would be so much better if they would be able to send that short note into the request as well so us Admins could see "oh, this user is from that giveaway and wants to redeem his prize". Or "oh, this is a private request from someone's alt account".
It would be much better for a user to decide whether they should accept the incoming request when seeing the additional note.
To bring it further there could maybe even be a feature to add a decline message? For example "Sorry I am not accepting friend requests from people I don't know". This would really really help a lot more instead of just declining without any comment. The level of understanding would increase between members.
That's my opinion about it and thanks for reading this. Would be really happy about this feature!
Have a great day lovely community!
