Boosting in community vs per

Hello!

I am a longtime discord user, i've purchased nitro before and am a big fan of the service. I currently run a private server with a few friends of mine, I am using it to host a mod for a video game and hope to open it to the public sometime soon.

I was pretty excited to see the adoption of community servers, I think it's a great idea and might help get the word out for my server when I do open it. However, as a nitro user I'm pretty sad that I haven't seen any changes in boosting after this update.

Firstly I want to say, I do appreciate the service,  especially the fact it's basically completely free. I understand it takes an immense amount of data to do all this and it's extremely impressive what you've all done! So of course, it makes sense to have some restrictions on the boosts, as they increase audio/video quality, upload limits etc. 

However! I think we can, and should have a compromise. Now that we have community servers, why not have a designation for private servers as well? Let's say a server has less than ten people on it and is not a community server. That could be designated a small private server. Instead of 7 boosts to level 2 for that server, why not 4 or 5, maybe even at a discounted rate. The benefits of a boost for this small private server would be slightly lesser in comparison to community servers or a large private server. For example, no audio quality upgrade or 1080p 60fps streams.

5 boosts is $174.95, plus your nitro subscription fee if you have paid for it. That is a lot of money and while I really would love to pay that much for the service it's sadly not feasible for me and I suspect most others as well.

Now let's look at some reasons why this could be good for Discord and the users. Firstly, having this designation could save data - small servers that dont really need such upgrades (hq streaming, audio quality etc) now don't have access to them while large ones that could benefit still do. Another reason is that people (like me!) would be more willing to spend a couple bucks on some boosts for the private server. $200 is quite a bit of money but $50-100 is a lot more accessible.

The idea is rough I know, but I really hope you can implement something like this. I've really wanted to see my server boosted to level 2 but currently I don't think it's possible.

To be honest, I mostly would just really like to have custom role icons. It sucks that one feature is locked behind the $175+ fees because I think it'd be really nice.
