Server Alts
Okay, so hear me out...
Server alts are basically alts that only appear in specific servers, meaning you don't have to make a whole discord account for them.
You would enable server alts in a server by going to a role's permissions in server settings and enabling Server Alts. If Server Alts is enabled for a role, an additional option called Server Alts Limit will appear, which is a slider between 1 and 50 that limits how many server alts members with that role can create in that server.
To create a server alt, you would open the server's tab at the top left of the screen and select Create Server Alt. A popup will appear where you can customize the alt's name, profile picture, banner color, and roles (if you have permissions to add and remove roles). If you don't have permissions to manage roles, the server alt will start with no roles.
Server alts appear as normal discord accounts in the member list, with some exceptions:
- They cannot have About Me info or statuses (they can only appear as online/offline)
- They cannot be pinged, and pinging a role they have will not ping them (roles on server alts are for color/cosmetic purposes only).
- They will not have number tags after their names (as they're not official discord accounts), and cannot be DMed, blocked, called, etc. (If you block a user, it'll also block all of their server alts.)
- They cannot ping other members in a server.
- They will have a unique Alt ID (which can be copied at any time), and when creating a server alt, you can copy paste the Alt ID into the ID field instead of filling in the server alt info. This lets you have the same server alt across multiple servers. If a server alt with the same ID is in 2 or more servers, an indicator will appear in their profile saying how many servers they're in.
- Editing a server alt's profile will also change that alt's profile for all the servers they're in.
- You cannot join voice chats with server alts.
- Server alts cannot be timed out, kicked, or banned, but timing out/kicking/banning a user will timeout/kick/ban all of their server alts in that server as well.
In order to use server alts, just right click on a server's icon and select "Show Server Alts" (this will be on by default if you have server alts). The alts will appear in a bar at the top of the screen. If you have too many alts to fit on the screen at once, you can scroll through them. Click on a server alt to use it. The messages you send from that point will be from the server alt. You can easily switch from one server alt to another just by clicking the icons above.
Server alts would be useful for roleplay-style servers, and outclass both Tupperbox (and other alt bots) and creating actual discord accounts as alts in many ways.
Finally, this feature would also bring the ability to save pfps. In your profile, the last 10 pfps you used (cropped and zoomed to your liking) will appear as options. When creating a server alt, the last 50 pfps you used for server alts will appear. These server alt pfps also appear when changing an existing alt's pfp.
