Verify Email with phone number instead of email.
I just recently had an issue with my old email and my old email is no longer in use. I still have it on my discord account though. I cannot verify my email to change my email because I originally lost my password to my old email. Therefore I dont get any emails from that one. I had created a new email and I need to put it on my account. I cannot do so until you possibly add a phone number verification option to change my email. I've so far used two of my back-up codes to get into my discord account and I shall no longer do so. I need them for a serious occasion!

If Discord would add that, then you could just use every email and Discord couldn't verify if it's the owner or not. As exmaple: If Discord would allow you to use any email and verifying that by Phone, you could use "accounts@discord.com" and if someone wants to register with that, because the person is the owner, he can't use the email anymore.

I agree with Ray. There are cases where a user can't verify their email to change, and discord support currently gives no option than to create a new account.
