Feature request: Deletion of thread title edit comments in threads
TLDR: Let us delete all thread title edit comments and thread started comments across the board not just on channels.
Threads being a fairly new system i can understand this going overlooked but id like to adress it.
When you change the title of a thread, it posts a comment saying you did in that thread.
EX: Lady of the Amari changed the post title: A Snow Bean!
You can't remove these, you can't delete them, or even change a setting to where it doesn't post this. I'd like to be able to remove those as a server owner or a setting be added to where it prompts you OR doesn't post this info publicly(a dismissable message would be fine). While you can delete your own comments, these system messages can't be removed on threads.
On the normal discord channels, you can do just that, it's something so small but easily can become an annoyance should you accidentally miss name a thread and have to go back and fix it.
This would also retroactively affect form posts and their posts as well.

I completely agree

It is really silly that as the server owner or even as assigned admins can't remove these messages. It's a real eye sore.

Yes please. Although I know this will not a be a thing for the next years to come, I really need it. I dont want to delete a post and recreate it with the same content just because I decided that another name is better. And like others said, its a eye sore. It simply clogs up the chat that is already meant to be on a side for easy access of information, so permanent messages (except the ones I am typing myself for said information) shouldnt be a thing in the first place. Other than that, forums are a great feature

I created a thread as a guide for our community on discord, but when linked the name was cut off. A couple of edits later, there's now a few lines of undeletable “changed the title” posts.
In this instance, nobody needs them. They don't add meaningful context, so we'd like to delete them. The thread OP can't remove them, the admins can't remove them. They just take up space and look unprofessional.

I completely agree. I avoid this by deleting and recreating the post, but this is bad for the user experience and messy with post timestamps.

Someone at Discord can take 5 min to answer « yes, no, we are working on it, it is on our goal » ? Because the message since 1 year is : « we don’t care about you. »
Please do not take one more year to fix that…

Hello! Totally AGREE! Please kindly fix this, as that message is very annoying. Thanks for your help! :)

For god's sake, this needs to be done ASAP! Such a basic feature that is missing and creates so many headache for server owners.

AMEN!!! How is it that this is still an issue a year later? Don't those at Discord use their own product? If they do, how have they themselves not found this to be an unnecessary and more so annoying factor?

I really need this to happen too… Its so damn annoying

I agree, this is very annoying and is a feature that should be super simple to implement, nothing else has undetectable messages why threads and for simple name changes at that. that's what audit logs of for.
3 -
Please implement this feature ASAP – ideally with the ability to delete these messages that sent before the ability to delete them was implemented.
When people can't fix mistakes in their titles without a public record posting to the thread, it makes them hesitant to create forum posts.4 -
Don't expect anything from Discord.
They don't even have their own Discord...
There's no communication...
It's just a shame.3 -
This message is incredibly annoying when organizing threads

Is this in the works? I'd really love to see it implemented!

It sounds like you're suggesting a feature for deleting thread title edit comments within threads. This feature could be useful for maintaining clarity Connections and tidiness in discussions.

Boosting this up as well. I can't count how many times I missnamed a Thread title and had to delete it in order for that system message to not pop. Seriously, its such a small thing, we should have the freedom to delete it!

Absolutely agreed. Adding up, you should be able to remove those messages in group chats as well. Those serve no purpose to common users besides being an eyesore

I completely agree with you I'm facing the same problem with thread title edit comments, and it's really frustrating not being able to remove them. It clutters the conversation, especially when I make a small mistake in naming a thread. Just like you mentioned, it would be great to have the option to delete or hide these messages, similar to what we can already do in regular channels. A fix like that would make things so much cleaner, especially when we’re discussing projects like custom print hoodie UK designs in group threads.
