As per my email to discord technical support:
I use Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5g (renoir), with newest OS and all updates. I use discord on android with beta enabled. My issue is that my microphone volume is very low, debug shows max 0.2 input volume when im speaking very loud. On a browser in desktop mode it works flawless, i even have to lower the input gain. A temporary fix would be a manual gain slider in the discord app (for developers would suffice). Just like the automatic gain from Krisp, but manual db gain slider for advanced users. I even rooted my phone and installed kernel level fixes for microphone mixer-path, but it improved the volume by like, 5% roughly, the debug audio level did not budge far. Would be appreciated if a manual microphone gain was introduced to android. Alternatively simply fixing the gain on this phone/xiaomi overall. All other apps work for me, its just discord. For now i'll use firefox desktop-mode discord i suppose.
Solution is a manual microphone gain like on pc (works on the browser!). I was told to make a post here, so here i am. This would solve a lot of issues on many phones, a bit of a temporary solution, could be hidden somehow in the settings. This would be relatively simple to implement i believe, as we already have dynamic gain option, and setting constant value on a slider is rather simple.
