New image layout is horrible and annoying

I know posts have already been made about it, but I feel so strongly that I'm going out of my way to make another post about it because this is so horribly annoying. It's impossible to easily look through multiple images people have sent (for example screenshots of text) or maybe the cropping ruins the punchline of a joke. It's also extremely annoying to have to tap into the pictures to expand them. Please undo this feature or at least have a toggle. People are now sending images one at a time to avoid this issue, which is creating a spam of notifications, but this spam is preferable to the mosaic layout.

  You can always turn off notifications per channel or server as a workaround to the workaround :) 

  Yeah, it is an absolute dumpster fire, and the forum is flooded with posts about it, but I wonder if Discord staff even reads it here. They don't seem to give a fig about it.
