I hate being pinged and I'm sure many others do too, so here are some ideas to fix this:

 

Disable announcement setting in server notification settings, if on all @everyone, @here, and role mentions will be ignored

If a server is muted no ping notifications will be sent

Replies should have ping off by default

And while we're at it, discord remembers if ping was on for the previous reply and sets it as your current reply

If a server is following an announcement channel all pings will be muted

If a bot pings within a minute of another bot or user the second ping (bot or user) will be muted, this is because sometimes users give information that bots are made to give automatically and getting pings multiple time for the same message is annoying

    You know, if you right click a server, go to Notifications setting, you an disable being pinged for @ everyone and @ here. If someone has one of those in an announcement message that was sent to another server, no one gets pinged for them.
