Audio equalization for video/audio sent through text chat

Picture this: You're in a Discord server. One of your friends (or not) sends you a video. You click on it, only to find your ears being blasted with really loud, irritating audio. It would be nice to have the audio of everything equalized to a certain volume, so the above situation doesn't have to happen ever again. This would also help with quieter videos that you can't really hear. My ears hurt.
